Course Overview
This course follows the narrative style of the Surah. It begins by contemplating the story of Zakariyya (peace be upon him) and his request for a son, and how Allah answered him with a miracle. The explanation then moves to the central story of the Surah, which is the story of the Virgin Mary, her miraculous conception and birth of ‘Isa (peace be upon him), and his speaking in the cradle.
In addition, the Tafseer of Surah Maryam course deals with other stories of prophets such as Ibrahim, Musa, and Idris, with a focus on the attribute of mercy, which is the organizing thread of the Surah. This course softens the hearts, and that is why it is considered very important.

“The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Allah has His own people among mankind.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, who are they?’ He said: ‘The people of the Qur’an, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him.”
