Course Overview
This comprehensive program covers a wide range of sciences, beginning with the study of the Sciences of the Quran (‘Ulum al-Quran) such as the history of the Mushaf, the reasons for revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul), the Makki and Madani, and the abrogating and the abrogated (Al-Nasikh wal-Mansukh). The student then moves on to study the principles of Tafsir and the methodologies of the interpreters (Mufassirun), followed by a practical study of analytical and thematic Tafsir.
In addition, the Quranic Studies Programme does not neglect the importance of auxiliary sciences. The student studies the science of Qira’at, the science of the script of the Mushaf (Rasm), and the science of the inimitability of the Quran (I’jaz). The Quranic Studies Programme is designed to be comprehensive, which makes it unique.
