Course Overview

This course explains every detail of the Fiqh of fasting, beginning with the linguistic and Shari’ah definition of Sawm, then it addresses how the beginning and end of the month of Ramadan are confirmed. The explanation then moves to the essential pillars of fasting, its contemporary and traditional invalidators, with a clarification of what is obligatory for someone who breaks the fast on a day of Ramadan with or without an excuse.

The content is not limited to rulings only; the Fiqh of Fasting course also covers the Sunnahs and recommended acts of fasting that increase the reward of the fasting person, and the disliked matters that should be avoided. An important part is also dedicated to studying the rulings of making up fasts (Qada’) and expiation (Kaffarah), making this course comprehensive for everything related to the Fiqh of this great act of worship.

Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.
