Importance of Seeking Forgiveness in the Life of a Muslim

Seeking forgiveness is one of the most important acts of worship that the Muslim must be keen to perform and persevere in at all times. The Prophet PBUH used to increase seeking forgiveness and repenting to Allah every day. The Prophet PBUH said:

(والله إني لأستغفر الله في اليوم والليلة أكثر من سبعين مرة)

“By Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him more than seventy times a day.”

Seeking forgiveness helps the servant to erase the bad deeds and sins that may be the cause of many problems, worries, and sorrows in his life. It’s even for the acts of obedience that were not performed completely and perfectly in a manner befitting the Lord SWT.

Therefore, you must increase asking for forgiveness and pardon from Allah. If He pardons you and overlooks your bad deeds, you will achieve your wish and goal. If you do not ask for pardon and forgiveness, you may lose many opportunities and blessings.
